Three years into his second term, it’s not difficult to draw the conclusion that President Obama might be the most scrutinized chief executive in modern history.

There’s inherently nothing wrong with scrutinizing our political leaders, of course, but what distinguishes Obama’s most vocal critics is the basic unfairness and, in many cases, the unhinged madness of the scrutiny.
