North Carolina just made it so that people who expose abuses that take place on factory farms can themselves become targets. The state Senate voted Wednesday afternoon voted to override Republican Gov. Pat McCrory veto of a so-called “ag-gag” bill that would allow businesses to sue employees who secretly record illegal activity, as well as activists who enter private property without permission.
